Kristie and Claire | Sneak Peek | Colleyville, TX Photographer

November 4th, 2012

Did a mini session today with Kristie and Claire. It was a beautiful day for a blanket and books.  We couldn’t have asked for better weather.  Claire is so sweet to her mama and is going to be an amazing big sister when their new little arrives.

Enjoyed capturing these mommy/daughter moments with you two today! Here’s a little sneak peek. :)

This is such a fun family! I can’t really say that enough, they just are.  They make me laugh so much and I can’t help but feel right at home with them having 3 girls myself.  It’s a little glimpse into what my life will be like with three teenage daughters in a few years. I feel honored to get the opportunity each time they give me a call.  With one headed off to college soon, we decided to get this session in as quickly as possible.  Can’t wait too long to get these family sessions in!

Mission Time!

June 29th, 2012

Just want to thank those of you that took advantage of this sale! I’m headed to Russia tomorrow, doing something that has become so near and dear to my heart.  I feel so blessed that God showed me something I would truly love, so many fears use to be there that I couldn’t see it.  Letting go of those fears and having faith has changed who I am and what my life is about.  It’s not really about me at all, it’s sharing God’s love with others that has brought me a new life. And I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it.  He has many things in the works for me and I’m so excited to see those things come together.

Hope you all are having a great summer and staying cool! Will post some pics of my trip upon my return. I will be out of the office till July 11th and will return any emails or calls then.

Blessings!

To Russia With Love

February 14th, 2012

Since Valentine’s Day is here, I wanted to share some love with you all.  What’s better than a SALE, right?  My 2nd Annual Mission Sale is a great opportunity to get some updated photos of the kids or family AND help me out with a little fundraising.  One of my LOVES is going and serving others internationally.  This has become such a big part of my family’s life. After all the times I said no to these opportunities, God has shown me that yes, yes this is your thing.  I was just letting my fears consume me instead of trusting in HIM. I knew after my first mission trip experience that there would be many to follow, once just wasn’t going to be enough.  So I say Yes, I will go where YOU want me to go  and serve where YOU want me to serve.

So with all that, this summer I’m leading a team back to Russia for 10 days and will be hosting an English camp for college aged students.  Me a leader?  This is another one of those things I generally say NO too, but God says YES – you can do this.  I feel as if I’m in training for somethings amazing around the corner.

This was a true blessing last summer.  People asked me to compare it to Africa, and you just can’t. Two truly different experiences and cultures, both humbling and amazing in there own ways.   If you would love to take advantage of this opportunity and partner with me, it would be greatly appreciated and a win, win for us both.  Just contact me soon, to get your spot, sale only runs till APRIL 30th.

This could also be used for next years taxes as a contribution. If you would like to take advantage of that you can even make the check out to my church, and I can give details on that as well.

Half  is DUE @ BOOKING to hold your spot.

Blessings to you!

McDowell | Teen Session | Colleyville, TX Photographer

January 23rd, 2012

Yesterday I had the pleasure of doing a session with this sweet girl. My little ones use to track her down at every baseball or football game to hang out with her. Her brother and G have gone to school together since Kindergarten! It is making me feel a little old knowing  that she is in junior high now.

I started the morning out wondering if this session was even going to happen with the cloud cover, but clouds left the area and out came the beautiful sunshine. What also came with it was some CRAZY wind! A photographers 2nd biggest obstacle, but we managed and had a great time. Here a couple sneak peaks to tide mom over till I finish editing the rest.

Hope you enjoy the peek!

January 12th, 2012

I never know what picture a family will want to use for their Christmas card, so I hate to give away too much from a session around holiday time.  We’ll go with that as my excuse for being so late in getting these up. Sound good? Ha! I will say that I LOVE getting a Christmas card with my picture on it. lol  So don’t ever think, oh well she’s already seen it, because I really do find it pretty darn sweet.  Along with all my other cards as well, love seeing everyone’s pictures.  Sorry to all those that didn’t get a card from me, it just didn’t make the cut this year.

So without further ado, here is one cool family! They are such sweet friends of ours and we have the best time just hanging out.  I just {big, puffy heart} love them!

Thank you Wilkinsons, and Thank YOU for stopping by!

The Wilsons, family of 6!  It’s nice knowing another family as large as ours. We could probably talk for hours and nod our heads in understanding at one another.  I’ve had the pleasure of teaching both of their girls at different church functions and they both so precious.  So smart and well mannered young ladies, momma and daddy have to be proud.  Same for brothers too of course!

Thank you Wilson Family, and Thank YOU for stopping by!

I am really…really…really behind on blogging, but dare I say I’m going to try to improve on that this year. {sigh} Just another thing to add to the list right?

So consider this ANOTHER huge catch up.  I love you guys for being so patient and sticking around.

This day was freezing! Kind of a day like today actually, very windy and cold. So needless to say there was a lot of huddling and hunkering together. Doesn’t always make for an easy session, but these guys were patient with me and I managed to grab some great shots. Most boys don’t like having their pictures taken and these boys are no different but I just imagine their cute face on a GAP poster somewhere. And Little Miss, well you can tell their home revolves around her. She is precious and was smart too. Just look at her she’s trying to get inside this house, it was COLD!

Thank You Johnson Family, and Thank YOU for stopping by!

Lauren | Happy Birthday Girly!

November 30th, 2011

Has it really been a month since I posted on my blog?! Yikes. Bad Blogger! Well without fail I am here to blog about a special someone turning 7 today! We have reached the end of the birthday line for the year, as far as the kiddos go. I definitely couldn’t forget posting about my Little Who’s birthday or  I would have major mom guilt.  Little Who you say? It all began  during Christmas time and The Grinch was a family favorite movie, so naturally she was coined with the name because of her little button nose.  Her cousin’s started calling her little who or who baby, and well that was the birthplace of her nickname.  We are one blessed family by your presence girly!

Seven Things I LOVE about YOU!

1. I LOVE that you have freckles like your mama! Precious!

2. I love that you come home from a long day at school and put your warm, fuzzy pajamas on.

3. I love the way you are so enthusiastic about getting your school work done. I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

4. I love that you want to help clean so much!

5. I love having a little me, walking around. It’s as if I’ve gone back in time and can see myself as a 7 year old.

6. I love that you are kind and caring about others.

7. I love that you are willing to give anything of yours to someone else. Well anything, except for your most precious possession, your blankey.

Love you, Little Who

Happy Halloween!

November 1st, 2011

Two of  my best girls all dressed and ready to go last night. This will definitely be printed! Hey anytime siblings are willing to give each other a little love it needs to be documented and displayed. Right? I think so.
